[Image taken 14.10.21] Museum Street, York. This sign was in this position yesterday at around 17.00. It was still here at 11am today. What hasn't it been spotted and set back up by the people who put it in place. It's outside tourist info. Why hasn't someone from that organisation either set it back up or moved it? And who is it aimed at? It's on a pavement so what subset of pedestrians is it intended to provide guidance for? It's a hazard. It's an eyesore. It further limits the public space that is separate and distinct from areas with motor traffic on and which should, therefore, be safe. It gives (tourists and residents) the impression no-one cares about the appearance of the city or the safety of people walking around it. Might encourage people to drop litter or engage in other anti-social activity. How is this different to flytipping? Other image this sign today: #174996. Other image same issue nearby today: #174998. Other image related issue today: #174997.
